Fallow ground is unusable—it is dormant and barren. Fallow ground is hard and unable to accept the new seed which is required for growth. Just as unplowed soil stops seeds from penetrating and thriving, areas of our lives that are neglected or hardened can obstruct our spiritual growth and blessings.
In this season, you will break it up! You will seek the Lord and righteousness will be your reward. You will pray and meditate on His word with the expectation of uncovering areas in your life that may be hardened. His word will penetrate and soften your heart. This is your growing season; you shall be ready to receive new seed; and you shall produce good fruit!
Repent and make a decision to turn away from hindrances. The Lord is waiting to be gracious to you. He will rise to show you mercy. The Lord is a God of justice. You are blessed when you wait on Him. You will yield any unplowed fields to God and experience the transformative power of His righteousness.
Hosea 10:12 – Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
Isaiah 30:18 – And therefore will the Lord wait, that He may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: For the Lord is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for Him.
